Voice of a Grieving Mother

Building Hope presents a screening of "Voice of a Greiving Mother: I Lost My Son to Suicide" a powerful story of loss, hope and healing shared by Heather Gard of Breckenridge, CO following the tragic loss of her son by suicide. This Bipolar Life

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, Virtual. Gabe Howard was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003 and now that he is in recovery, he tells the story of his bipolar life. Gabe defines his recovery as “spending more time living life than managing bipolar.” Society often sees people living with mental illness at their worst and Gabe works to balance that out by living openly with bipolar disorder. International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Virtual. Hosted by SpeakUp ReachOut and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County Each year, AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) supports hundreds of large and small Survivor Day events around the world, in which suicide loss survivors come together to find connection, understanding and hope through their shared experience. While each event is unique and offers various programming, all feature an AFSP produced documentary that offers a message of growth, resilience and connection. Read More
