YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID -  Parents, caregivers, teachers, health and human services workers, and caring individuals
This 8-hour public education program introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. 

ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID -  Anyone 18 years and older
This 8-hour course teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.  

SpeakUp ReachOut Trainings

SpeakUp ReachOut is dedicated to educating anyone in our community who is interested in saving lives. Efforts to prevent suicide are being implemented in our schools, workplaces and community centers. SIGNS OF SUICIDE (SOS) TRAINING -  Middle and high school students
This nationally recognized program offers a video and guided discussion, students learn to identify the symptoms of depression in themselves or their friends as well as identify warning signs of suicide. The curriculum raises awareness about behavioral health and encourages students to ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) when worried about themselves or their peers.

APPLIED SUICIDE INVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST) - Caregivers, counselors, and school psychologists
This two-day workshop on teaching suicide first-aid to help a person at risk stay safe and seek further help. Participants learn to use a suicide intervention model to identify persons with thoughts of suicide, seek a shared understanding of reasons for dying and living, develop a safeplan based upon a review of risk, be prepared to do follow-up, and become involved in suicide-safer community networks. 

An emergency mental health intervention for lay and professional gatekeepers to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives. QPR empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference. Learn how to recognize and respond positively to suicide warning signs and behaviors.

WORKING MINDS TRAINING - Workplace administrators and employees
Working Minds is for workplace administrators and employees. This program gives participants the tools and skills to appreciate the critical need for suicide prevention while creating a forum for dialogue and critical thinking about workplace mental health challenges. Choose from three programs: a 1-hour “lunchtime” presentation, a 1.5-hour workshop, or a 3.5-hour intensive training.
