Hello
My name is Bill Thurber and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I began my career working with the learning disabled. Afterwards I worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for seventeen years in the clinical mental health, diagnostic, and medical fields. I was a therapist in community mental health for fourteen years and have worked with clients struggling with a wide range of mental diagnoses. I'm a proud father of two adult daughters, one of who has given me a granddaughter. I have authored one book and enjoy playing guitar and road biking. I also have been on three overseas mission trips.
My approach to counseling is person centered, compassionate, reality based, and direct. I hope to help you improve insight, find your path, and experience increased life satisfaction.
